Vitan Plaza to deliver Romania's first rooftop padel — eight premium courts above the gallery

Vitan Plaza will be the first retail concept in Romania to bring padel to the rooftop. The scheme's roof terrace dedicates close to 1,800 m² to eight premium courts, complemented by a social area and a walkable green terrace overlooking the neighbourhood.

Padel is Europe's fastest-growing racquet sport, and Bucharest's dense south-east — long underserved in quality sports infrastructure — is a natural home for it. Placing the courts above the gallery turns a conventional roof into a destination, extending the scheme's active hours well into the evening and drawing a public that classic retail rarely reaches.

The concept completes a vertically layered destination: convenience retail at street level, an 18Gym-anchored fitness and wellness floor above it, and sport under the open sky on the roof. Developed in joint venture between NestPlus Plaza and h4l (home 4 life), Vitan Plaza is designed as the daily hub of one of Bucharest's most densely populated residential districts.
