Lidl opens at Brăila Plaza — one of its first two openings of 2026

Lidl inaugurated its new Brăila store on 5 February — one of the retailer's first two openings of 2026 in Romania — at Strada Industriei 17M, in the heart of Brăila Plaza.

The store offers over 1,400 m² of sales area and 164 parking places, and replaces Lidl's former unit on Calea Galați 346A with a modern format built to the retailer's latest energy-efficiency standards: LED lighting with motion sensors and heat-recovery systems integrated into the climate installation.

Together with Kaufland, already trading next door, Lidl gives Brăila Plaza a rare double food anchor — the strongest possible footfall engine for the retail-park line-up opening around it.
